Tulip Full of Punches

Here's A SIMPLY WAY to make a fun card using a variety of punches.

Make your flower using the SMALL OVAL PUNCH #107304 and cardstock colors
Pretty in Pink #100459   Pixie Pink#105121 and Pink Passion#102762

I used the Sizzix Texture plate #114512 to add a little depth and texture to the oval petals.
You can make your stem out of Certainly Celery # 105125 card stock and the Cutter Kit # 106958 using the cutting blade and cutting your stem with a curve. Take 2 SMALL OVAL punched pieces of  Old Olive #100702 and bend lightly to create your soft shaped leaves.

Create your sentiment feature with the WORD WINDOW PUNCH#105090, the SCALLOP OVAL PUNCH #114889,  the LARGE OVAL PUNCH #107305,  and the HEART TO HEART PUNCH #113694

Other card stock: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black, whisper white
Accessories: Crimper # 101618, Black grosgrain ribbon # 104832

TIP: Be sure and use a range of colors to create your petals......like the 3 different pinks I used above.

Fatty Little Pumpkin

Posted by Picasa
Isn't This a Cute Little Fatty Pumpkin?
you can make one too using the WIDE OVAL PUNCH #112082 and a large OVAL PUNCH # 107305.
Of course I used PUMPKIN PIE card stock # 105117 and BASIC BLACK #102851 for the handle. Make your handle by punching out a LARGE OVAL PUNCH # 107305 . Take the negative piece of card stock and slip it into your WIDE OVAL PUNCH extending the cutting edge over the large oval cut out.
CAST -A-SPELL Designer Series paper # 115677 was used for the patterned paper background. Don't you love all those cute pumpkins?
Old Olive # 100702 was used for the card base.

Both the Bat and the sentiment were BLACK EMBOSSED on purple papers.
The bat stamp is FROM THE CRYPT # 115460 and stamped on LAVENDAR LACE # 101614 and the sentiment stamp from the LEVEL 1 Hostess set ,  HOLIDAY BEST #115364 is stamped on ORCHID OPULENCE #100969
Don't forget a cute little bow made from BLACK check Gingham # 104832

Beautiful Fall Afternoon

It was nice to take a few minutes and gaze out my front window as the sun was starting to drop on this Sunday afternoon. The trees colors are starting to change and the nights cooling off here in Northern California. Time for big kettles of soup and cornbread. I just love this time of year!

Quilt Up Some Fun with a Square Punch
First start with a 1- 1/4" square punch # 104400 and  a few sheets of the
CHRISTMAS COCOA SPECIALTY designer series paper # 116770 (Holiday Mini Catalog)
Punch a total of 6 squares  of various patterns. I then cut each of those six squares on a diagonal making 12 triangles.
Each of those triangles were mounted , side by side and mixing the patterns on a Soft Suede layer measuring 2- 3/4" by 4".
That panel was then mounted on a Real Red layer measuring 3- 1/4" by 4-1/2".
The next layer is Basic black measuring 3-1/2" by 4-3/4".
the last layer is Basic Gray measuring 3- 3/4" by 5".
TIP : Notice there is a 1/4" progression on each of the last 3 layers

The focal point of the RED JUMBO SNOWFLAKE PUNCH # 116628 has gold cording woven in and out of the snowflake arms.

Treat or Treating Monkey Style

Guess Who? Could it be SOCK MONKEY! # 111550
All dressed up for Tricks or Treats sock  monkey decided to borrow a hat from EAT DRINK and BE SCARY #111764.
His little lap friend decided to come over too! A 1/4" punch was used for his black eyes and a white signo gel pen # 105021.
The white pumpkin was made with the small oval punch #107304 and hand cut stem. You can make your broom with a few snips of the scissors on mustard cardstock.
Choose a fun DSPaper for your background...........
I used Night and Day # 116768 (mini catalog)
and Cast a Spell # 115677  . GOING GRAY ink# 103274  is perfect To shadow pumpkin and hat edges . Card base is pumpkin pie #105117

Giving Thanks

Posted by Picasa
I just love the colors in the Designer Series Paper AUTUMN MEADOWS # 116769
Here I used just one corner of the 12x12 paper to pick up all the fall images.
I love the  TAKEN WITH TEAL color, it just adds such a nice contrast to the other rich autumn colors.
Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon was used under the sentiment GIVE THANKS #115364 ( Holiday Best Level 1 hostess set). Grosgrain ribbon adds a nice touch of texture and sponging the edges of your card stock adds extra depth. I sponged my edges with CLOSE TO COCOA creating soft, warm edges.
The sentiment was stamped in choc. chip  and punched with the WIDE OVAL punch # 112082. Do you see the layer behind it? It's the DESIGNER LABEL punch #107590, but because it is smaller than the wide oval I cut it vertically in half and then took the two pieces and had them peek out of each side. I love the LOOK, how about you?
This was the perfect card to use one of the mustard colored buttons from the PLAYGROUND # 116313 designer buttons  box. It is tied with shredded pieces of choc chip grosgrain ribbon. It's a quick and simple card to make, yet so rich in color.

Card stock : Taken with Teal, More Mustard, Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper
Punches: Wide Oval, Designer Label
Accessories: Grosgrain ribbon, sponges

Quick and Simple Autumn Pumpkin

Posted by Picasa
Don't you LOVE these RICH COLORS!
The DSP AUTUMN MEADOWS #116769
creates the jumping off point for choosing your leaf colors using the LITTLE LEAVES die cut
# 114511.
I used In-Colors, Bermuda Bay, Dusty Durango,
Chocolate Chip and Vanilla

Punch your mustard CS with the Wide Oval punch # 112082 and sponge the edges. I ran mine thru an impressions plate # 114512 to give it a little more texture.

Did you know you can stamp on twill tape?
I used the stamp set Teeny Tiny Wishes # 115370
and choc chip ink and stamped directly onto the TWILLTAPE # 105245
What's that texture on my leaves you say?

It's Soft Suede # 115657 and the background stamp
Sanded # 109294 pg. 134

Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay, DSP Autumn Meadows ( Mini cat. ) # 116769, mustard, Dusty Durango

Ink: Soft Suede, Choc Chip, More Mustard for sponging
Sizzix: Little Leaves

Punches: Wide Oval # 112082

Twill Tape # 105245 pg. 183

Hope this inspires you!
Blessing,
PAM

Fabulous Friend Purse

I LOVE MY DIE CUTS!
Here's a chance to use the Baskets and Blooms #113484 in a brand new way....flat that is!
Take just one of the basket sections and stamp with a VERSAMARK pad some of the flowers from the Fifth Avenue Floral# 113734
USE THE POPPIN' PASTELS METHOD AS DESCRIBED BELOW TO COLOR
NOW YOU MAY NOTICE THAT THERE IS NO SOFT SUEDE PASTELS
IN THE BOX .....   SO,      I USE A COMBINATION OF TWO COLORS...
DIP FIRST INTO MORE MUSTARD THEN AGAIN INTO CHOCOLATE CHIP
Ta dah......SOFT SUEDE
The colored images were then over stamped with the
BACKGROUND STAMP  SANDED# 109294
USING SOFT SUEDE CLASSIC INK # 115657

Card Stock: Real Red, Bermuda Bay #115317, Soft Suede #115318, whisper white
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral# 113734, Oval All # 113790
Sizzix : Baskets and BLOOMS #113484
Punches: Eyelet Border, Scallop Oval, Large Oval,
Accessories: In-Color polka dot ribbon, soft suede and bermuda bay

Emerging Colors Medallion

Here's a Great TECHNIQUE that you should really

1.  First start with white card stock

2. Stamp various images in assorted colors all over your piece. I used the Eastern  Blooms stamp set # 111626 and In-Colors, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango.

3. Prepare for embossing by running  your Embossing Buddy bag#103083 over your entire sheet of inked card stock. The powder in the bag prevents  the embossing powder from going in places you DON'T WANT.

4. Using your VERSAMARK PAD #102283 ink up your entire MEDALLION stamp #115223. Stamp in desired spot on your card stock. In this case I used the lower left hand corner.

5. Immediately cover the inked area with CLEAR EMBOSSING POWDER #109130 and heat with SU Heat Tool # 100005.

6. Final Step is to Brayer# 102395 ink over the entire surface.  In this case I used Soft Suede        #115657.

This is such a fun technique to experience.....you gotta put it on your TO DO LIST

Card Stock: Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, white
Stamps: Medallion #115223, Eastern Blooms # 111626, Short and Sweet# 115060

Black Polka Dot DSP (Night and Day)#116768
REALLY POPS

the color being so heavy.

Stamps: Eat , Drink and Be Scary
Ink: Black Craft
Punches: Lg Oval # 107305, Sm Oval #107304
