Watermelons Last Stand

The last days of summer always seem to include that perfect slice of juicy watermelon.....putting a smile on our faces for sure.
Make your card by punching circles in Green Galore using the  1 3/8"circle punch. Sponge the edges with classic Green Galore ink...cut in half.
Punch regal rose 1 1/4" circles and lightly sponge edges with real red.... cut in half.
Using 1/4 circle punch to achieve watermelon bites through both layers and a black SU Marker the create teardrop seed marks.
This card was created in my "Get Punchy" CLASS.  Have fun making yours!
Don't you just love this color combination? The richness of the Bermuda Bay with the mustard and pumpkin pie just kinda say Autumn.
Mr. pheasant (from the AUTUMN DAYS set) was done using SU markers directly on the rubber.
Start by filling in your area you want with the brush side of your marker starting with the lightest color first then proceed to your darker colors. I used.....
mustard
pumpkin pie
close to cocoa
bermuda bay
SU markers are double tipped, last forever and are only $3.25ea
The vanilla hodgepodge hardware just seemed to fit this card perfectly.
# 112454 $29.95  pg 178 in our catalog
#115452  Autumn Days $23.95  pg 92
Our sizzix TOP NOTE DIE always makes for a great additional layer on your cards
#113463 $21.95
My Stamp Club members enjoyed making this as one of their Sept. projects.

A Stampin'Up Collage

Once in  a while I like to pull out my old sets and really make use of them. Ever wonder what to do with that BIG daisy from the Sellabration sets a few years back.
Using the KISS method I inked the old BG set Ephemera with Choc chip, stamped it on the daisy rubber.....gave a huff and a puff then stamped it on sahara sand paper.
Other sets that were used included..
French script
Postal Carte
A Very Big Heart
...the choc chip scrap piece behind the sentiment was a  leftover scrap from a diecut image.

Hope this inspires you to get out your old stamp sets!
